WEDNESDAY PEACH BUZZ September 15, 2004 Compiled by Richard Eldridge Rathbun's a 'Gourmet Selection' For a guy without a publicist on the payroll, Atlanta chef Kevin Rathbun has had no difficulty getting the word out about Rathbun's, his 3-month-old eatery in Inman Park. On USA Today's recent page dedicated to the nation's "Gourmet Selection of New Restaurants," writer Jerry Shriver gave Rathbun's a rave, citing it as a destination point for diners. Other top-notch restaurant cities mentioned in the piece included Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York. When we popped into the bustling bistro for a bite the other night, Rathbun was flattered but shocked by the nationally distributed kind words. "When I read it, I just about fell on the floor," Rathbun told us as he took a momentary break from his kitchen. "I'm just glad people are finding out about us."
