ATLANTA: Kevin Rathbun, former corporate executive chef for
Buckhead Life Restaurants (NAVA, Bluepointe, and Pricci, among others), struck
out on his own in May with Rathbun's, at The Stove Works, 1 19th century
industrial metalworks building turned commercial complex at 112 Krog Street.
Buckhead Life alumni pastry chef, KIRK PARKS and general manager CLIFF BRAMBLE
join him as partners. The dining room and bar seat 132: an intimate
outdoor patio accomodates an additional 45. APPS ($4 to $8): garlic shrimp with
okra and spiced tomatoes; lamb scalloppini with pancetta and goat cheese. MAINS
($14 to$33): pan-roasted veal loin with sweet corn and Gouda; broiled salmon
with artichokes and spring onions. DESSERTS ($3): calories-be-dammed
banana/peanut butter cream pie;, sugar-free lemon panna cotta with local
blueberries.
