The new 2011 classes are able to be purchased on October 1st , 2010 by calling the restaurant. All classes are sold on a first come first serve basis and are paid at the time of purchase.  The 2012 classes will be available for purchase on October 1st, 2011 and will be able to be purchased directly here on this page through a first come first purchase.  Directly at midnight, the specific number of classes will be available.

We are excited to announce the 

2011 Cooking Classes

.  

Rathbun's interactive cooking class takes you to the heart of the kitchen.  Feel the passion, feel the heat, and get ready to experience the reality of the cooking.

We don't make up recipes.  We don't have rules....We begin from scratch and we decide on the dishes upon your arrival. 

Upon arrival, we look in the walk-in and decide what is available and begin creating the dish with the cooking theme in mind. For three hours, you prepare the ingredients and get ready to make the dish. 

You're in the kitchen, not in the seat.... We provide the excitement, the knowledge and the fun inside of the kitchen. You learn about the food, the fun and what drives the kitchen to be the best. Passion from the heart!

How it works: Four teams of three people create their dishes from scratch, and then return at the end with their guest for a complete dinner with wine pairings.  Each team will then prepare their dinner and then sit down to dine on their accomplishments. Classes begin at 1:30 and go to 4:30.  At 4:30, your guest arrives and you begin serving them appetizers and wine pairings.  Dinner then begins at 5:00 p.m. and ends at about 7:00 p.m.

Cost is $350.00 per person per class

They are non-refundable - You will have the gift card available to be used at the restaurant if you cancel your class.

(Includes 1 person in the class, a three to four-course meal on the night of the class with wine pairings, one guest for dinner,

and a complimentary Chef Jacket or logo item)

Due to the high demand of these classes, payment is done in advance and 

you will receive a gift card in the amount of the class. 

They are non-refundable

The gift card will have to be presented on the day of the class.

Japanese 

NEW CLASS 

Join us as we create dishes inspired in the Japanese tradition. Think Sushi, Sashami & Maki along with Tempura style cooking with ingredients of Tuna, Shrimp, Toro, Yuzu Soy, Ginger, Noodles and Wasabi.  This class will surely sell out and will be recommended to your friends.

New England Lobster Bake

NEW CLASS 

 

Ok, we know the BBQ class is hard to beat but we think this one will beat it.  Think of steamed shellfish, chowder, lobster, crabs, clam fritters, littlenecks and quahogs all grilled, steamed and  baked.  People from New England may want to join in on this class!

“Spicy Food to Cool You Down” is how Kevin describes this fun filled day. He loves to cook Southwestern and it shows from all of his menu items at NAVA, where he was the Executive Chef for eight years.  He will introduce you to all of the ingredients that you want to say, but are afraid to pronounce.  1:30pm – 5pm -
